The life of a parent can be such a busy one, there are definitely times when it can all feel overwhelming. Whether it’s drinking your favorite mocha, reading a bit of that novel that’s been sitting on the shelf for a few months, taking a long shower or even a few minutes for a bath or a pedicure, find that thing that just makes you go “Aaaaahhh”! When my kids get upset or anxious the number one thing I tell them to do is take a deep breath. It almost always works, helps soothe them and helps them calm down. Adults often forget to breathe! Who has time?
